About Us

The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and registered charity, which has been fighting against social inequality and transforming lives for over 150 years.

Motivated by our Christian faith we offer practical support and services to all who need them, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

Faversham Salvation Army was pioneered by Jon and Beth Munn in late 2018. From the very first days of this fresh expression of The Salvation Army, the desire to bring the ‘momentum’ of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was very much at the forefront of all planning.

Our heritage

The Salvation Army in Faversham used to be situated in Stone Street in Faversham until its closure some years ago; the building is still there but now the home of Role Play Rascals. Jon and Beth felt that The Salvation Army’s work is far from over within the town of Faversham. We are actively involved within the community and the marketplace.

Here for you

We aim to support this wonderful town and its needs in any way we can. Our underlying aim is to represent the love and compassion that was exemplified in the life of Jesus Christ.

We aim to utilise every form of technology to communicate and share a message of love and hope in the world that we live in today.

Meet our team

There are currently four key members of the Faversham Salvation Army team.

Beth and Jon Munn are Pioneer Leaders, working throughout the week in the town; meeting people, supporting community projects and praying for residents and all those connected to Faversham.

Joe and Lucy Halliday support them in their work. They have lived in Faversham for just a couple of years, but love being a part of the town.
